Entrance Protocols

  • Screening of all staff and children prior to entry, including a temperature check

  • Classes use separate entrances to ensure no mingling of groups

  • Hands washed upon entry

  • Parents and other visitors remain outside our facilities

  • Drop off will be staggered over 15 minutes with families keeping 6 feet apart

Social Distancing

  • Teachers and students remain within their pod

  • Outdoor times staggered to ensure no mingling with other students

  • Classes separated into groups when possible, particularly meal time

  • Distance of 6 feet between sleeping cots and eating tables

  • Children will be served individual portions of lunch

Cleaning and Sanitizing

  • More frequent cleaning and disinfecting of all areas, particularly those with high touch use

  • More frequent rotation of toys to allow for cleaning

  • Toys sanitized daily

  • Hands sanitized frequently

  • Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes provided for outdoor use

  • Sanitizing bins for soiled toys

  • All stuffed toys and other toys that can’t be sanitized will be removed from the classroom

  • Assigning frequently used items to each child individually

  • Toys from home will not be permitted inside of the classroom


  • Training of staff in the new protocols

  • Signage in school reinforcing the new protocols

  • Parents will sign in over Brightwheel Daily

  • Mitzvah notes will be sent over Brightwheel Daily

  • Parents will fill out and send the screening survey daily over Google Docs


  • Masks worn at all times by staff

  • Gloves used when handling food and when changing diapers

  • Staff will wear long button down shirts when in close contact with the children

Containment Plan

  • • All sick children and staff will be isolated immediately

  • No return to school without testing/medical guidance

  • Coordinate with health officials for possible classroom or school closure

  • Parents notified immediately of potential exposure

Nap Time

  • Cots will be placed 6 feet away from each other

  • Cots will be labeled and used for individual children

  • Linen will be placed in bags and labeled with each child’s name

Specialty Classes

  • Specialty instructors will use masks when inside the facility

  • Specialty instructors will keep a 6 feet distance from children at all times

  • Specialty classes will take place separately for each pod


  • Staff members will wear a mask at all times

  • Staff members will wear long button down shirts when in close contact with the children

  • Staff members will be screened including a temperature check before entering the facility

  • Staff members will wear gloves when serving food and during diaper changing

  • Staff members will social distance from each other to the extent possible
